A CHANGE IS GONNA COME...
so...I read blog's of all those young mother's I know....and they get gazillion comments.....me.....I blog about a healthy cookie....and I get 1 comment....thanks Nicholle......So I've been thinking......what can I blog about to get more comments....Well...I've had this overwhelming feeling inside that I need to go to Haiti to help....and what would be better than to bring home some of those cute little orphans to live with me and Glenn....why, we have the room....we have acres they can run and play on....we even have "Grandma's Park..."Uncle Gary next door would take them on horsey rides.....or maybe we'll just have our special little grandbabies come and spend some time this summer with us...here....at grama and grampa's. I will take lots and lots of pictures....then I'll blog about the cutest grandbabies in the world.....And maybe, just maybe, I'll get a gazillion comments...just like all those young mother's I know....

i love your posts shirline! i think i get a million comments because making comments on other people's blogs has become my part-time job or something. haha. but i do think the more comments you make, the more you get. and cute grandbabies can't hurt either.

I don't get many comments either Shirl and it's probably like Abby said because I don't leave a ton of comments. But we would love to come play with you this summer!

don't worry about it, at least for me the blog is more of just a way for me to keep a journal of some sorts. I don't get a gazillion comments either. i will comment on the cookie recipe once i get around to making them, they sound very yummy!

Well, I posted a picture of Ian's naked bottom, and it only got two comments, so I am not doing much better. And, I will make those cookies. And, I definitely think you should adopt an orphan. If anyone has the energy for it, it's YOU. Love you and miss you a ton!

I read your blog each week. I really appreciate reading the updates of your family. We would be competely clueless if you didn't blog. If you need any kids running around we would be happy to bring a couple by.
I agree with Tami! I blog mostly for my own personal reasons and journal records! It is fun to have people comment though! BTW-I am ready for a guiltless cookie! I am starving!
I can count on ONE HAND the number of comments you make on my blog so that might be a suggestion to you for blogger's comments...
If you are serious about adopting an orphan from Haiti you might want to do the math...the child's age, the nunmber of years until graduation PLUS your current age = exhaustion!! Let your kids have the babies and you just borrow them when you have the energy. (That's my suggestion)

Sorry I haven't commented... I always mean to, but I guess now I'm just a blog stalker. But... I love looking at your blog updates and seeing what you and the family are up too. We miss you guys... it is getting to be WAY too long since we've visited! :(
My friend has on her blog where you can see who visited your site (it just shows the city and state but it can give you a good idea who it might be)... you might be surprised at how many people actually do look at your blog.
So... keep it up! Recipes and all! :)
Thanks for all your comments! And for those of you who know me pretty well......my comment "A change is gonna come..." was me trying to be funny! It was just a joke.....but I thank those who kindly reminded me that "what goes around, comes around..." so I will be commenting more often. I love looking at all your blogs and seeing how your babies are growing! If I were 20 years younger, I would definitely consider adopting one of those cute Haitians! But I'm enjoying being an empty nester, with an occasional "boarder". These past 17 1/2 years have been the best of my life, and I wouldn't want to go back beyond that for anything.
